Happy Birthday Cole!

This post is a little late but the actual day was way too exciting and full of fun to get on the blog.
Cole celebrated his 21st birthday Saturday!

I think he had a great day :)
Tons of people came to his party, he got lots of kisses from the ladies, Mississippi State won
and he beat me and Kyle by a mile in Mario Party!
remember we have a long standing Mario Party rivalry going on, and I got fourth place...I'll beat him though next time! haha :)
Karen, please tell him I said that!

This is my favorite picture from the party! Some Arkansas fan friends from church brought Cole a trick cake that had a hog on it that said "Gotcha!" Now of course Cole is a huge MS State fan and he laughed so hard when they brought the cake to him. He told Kyle later he laughed so hard it hurt haha.
It was so so funny! Wish we taped it :)
And of course he had his real Mississippi State cake too!

Happy Birthday Month Cole!!!
I'm a firm believer in celebrating birthdays all month long :p

Fortune Cookies and Flowers

After church Sunday Kyle and I ate lunch at  Happiness with some friends.
Some of our Chinese friends told us that Happiness has the most authentic Chinese food that they've had in the States. That's pretty exciting and the food is incredible!

Kyle didn't show me his fortune and surprised me with these :)
Truth be told, I was wearing his jacket that night while we were watching a movie and I felt it in his pocket and read it...ha. I didn't expect flowers though because Monday is the busiest day of the week for him. I was still surprised :) I'm married to the best!

Thanks Kyle :) You brighten my day every day!

Happy Weekend

I had a great weekend and I hope you all did as well!
I was in Tennessee celebrating with Kyle's family his grandparents 50th wedding anniversary.
There was a big party with a beautiful vowel renewal ceremony that Kyle officiated at.
They said the sweetest and most genuine words to each other and
Kyle's Poppa surprised his Nana with a gorgeous ring.
I don't think there was a dry eye in the whole room.

Nana and Poppa have a beautiful house! The whole family stayed there (about twenty people maybe) which was a first for me because my mom's side of the family live close to each other so we don't all stay over at the same time and my dad's sisters and families stay with my grandparents when they come. So being in the same house with everyone in the family for a weekend was lots of fun!
I wish I had pictures of their house to share but I never did get around to taking any
- better things to do like hang out with family :)
Their house is over 100 years old and they have added on a lot themselves
which is totally cool because their house is full of their own ideas.
There were lots of things that I pointed out to Kyle that I would just have to have one day in our home like the awesome turret, beautiful chandeliers, tall bookcases, gorgeous ceiling tiles
and the list goes on...
Doesn't their house sound amazing!?
Oh, and Nana has a sewing room. That's a must for me too :) ha
(but lets face it, i've basically taken over the spare room as a sewing room ha but Kyle doesn't mind:)

Here's a picture of me and Kyle after the ceremony.
I think it's pretty neat that Kyle and I got married the same year that Nana and Poppa celebrate their 50th year together. One day we'll be like them and celebrate 50 years too.
I hope it's full of family and love like theirs was!

Just got on Facebook and noticed Poppa has made an album from the ceremony so here some are :)

The Weekend with the Parents

Kyle and I had a wonderful time with my parents last weekend.
We showed them all around our lovely town of Murray.
My dad even got to play corn-hole at family day after church.
(He was really good for his first time!)
It was so great to have them here for the weekend! And we already miss them!
Here's our weekend in just a few pictures.

Here we are eating dinner friday night (yea...we still have a TON of decorating to do)

Kyle grilled amazing burgers!

My parents brought me early birthday presents!
Very awesome gifts including candles, sewing books, fleur de lis bookends and more!

My grandparents also sent me things through my parents.

Kyle and I registered for the same dishes as my Grandma and Grandpa.
(Corelle Winterfrost White. They are beautiful, unbreakable, and look great with the wedding napkins!)
They sent us tons more that they didn't need anymore.

And my Mamaw sent me some of her old craft supplies she found in her attic.
Whoo hoo vintage sewing supplies!

Basically the weekend was awesome.
Thanks for coming Mom and Dad!

My Parents are Coming to Town!

and I could not be more excited!

They are our first overnight guests so I have big plans to make the apartment look perfect today!
I also finished some pillowcases that I adore :) I'll definitely blog more about this later.
